HIGH FIVE UPDATE
Last
year's "Drive For Five" motto sought
to increase membership of the Human Communication and Technology
Division to above 500. Reaching the big 'five-ohhhohhh' was to be
an important step in the growth of the division, as the division
would gain an additional position and vote in the NCA Legislative
Assembly.
Our current slogan "High Five!" has a dual meaning. First, we are celebrating
that
we have crested the 500 members requirement. In September 2005, our membership
reached 515 members.
The second meaning of the "High Five!" slogan expresses our commitment to
keeping membership above 500 and increasing the margin. If we can achieve membership
numbers in the high 500s our additional
position in the the Legislative Assembly will be secured.
Help us maintain the 500-member level by re-newing your membership in the division and encouraging colleagues and friends to join. If you feel allegiance with more than three divisions in NCA, you can join the fourth one for only an additional $5. If you choose HCTD as one of your first three divisions, there is no additional cost to you.
